The CHD Study was part of a large, prospective Mobile Clinic Health Survey, which was conducted in 35 populations from different geographic areas of Finland representative of the middle-aged Finnish population.

Prolonged QRS duration was defined as QRS ≥110 ms and intraventricular conduction delay as QRS ≥110 ms, without the criteria of complete or incomplete bundle-branch block.
