There have been many complex tutorials and step-by-step guides on how to produce this look and honestly, I couldn't have been bothered. While not a popular design, there is a time and a place for a beautiful wood grain nail design. You can totally stop right here but I like to take my designs a little bit further by going back in with a black Gel Paint in some areas to create a more bold line and then I also love adding just a little bit of sparkle to add extra dimension to the design, similar to the natural look of marble! Continue this process until you are satisfied with the outcome. You will begin to see them slowly spread.

Then take a fluffy nail art brush and some 99.9% Isopropyl Alcohol and lightly start tapping your wet brush on the black Sharpie lines. Start by applying two (or three) coats of pure white gel polish - the whiter the better - and ensure all layers are fully cured! Then take a black sharpie and draw RANDOM lines on this cured surface - the more random the lines, the better the design turns out but be sure not to add too many lines. And for you Nail Technicians, it's easy to accomplish!
